Greetings from Quito, Ecuador
I have to be honest. This post is not going to be tremendously exciting because A) most of the trip thus far has been spent in the seat of an Embraer, and B) I have not slept in, oh, 33 hours or so. (I´m not counting the piecemeal lapses of consciousness on the plane.) Yes, that´s right. We waited until the last minute to do laundry and pack, and, as a result, packed the second to last item as our car service honked out front at 3:55AM. Notice I say second to last item...the last item would be my jacket that is still hangered in our coat closet in Brooklyn. Good move, Keller...good move. It looks like I will be purchasing a replacement in Peru before we head into the mountains. If you see me when I get back and I am wearing one of those spiffy, vibrant woven ponchos that are popular with the natives there, I caught on to the trend. We have another 3+ hours to kill in the Ecuadorian airport, so I am off...there has to be something interesting around here to eat. Until Peru...

We're glad you both made it to South America! Have fun and take your time coming back. Everything in the US is currently under control. :)
